Creative projects

Bess has developed a strong affection for sticker books. Fortunately there are a lot around. None less exciting than the Melissa and Doug 'Make a Face' book. Here below is one of her more radical interpretations of face making. What a beauuuuty.

While she peels and places, I am scurrying around trying to get this renovation project off the ground.

Salvaged from the back of the Sally Army shop, this is a home made dolls house (circa 1991) fitted with electrics, spacious loft, working staircases and chimney. In need of love, it is being lavished, ready for Christmas. It has been long neglected and I have my suspicions that while in active service it has had living house guests, for I have found evidence (ahem) of hamsters. They were thoughtful enough to use the bathroom though. Euuugh.

Delayed news flash

Belated news that James has been standing alone for the last month. No independent forward motion yet but maybe it won't be long. More though, we hope for at least two front teeth for Christmas... if not a full set... that would be nice.

Sainsbury Centre and Overstrand

Saturday afternoon debate referencing Peruvian bronze figure circa 1400.

Teleporting. At least trying to.

James. Casts a shadow as big as the SCVA.

It suddenly got a bit like an episode of Spooks.

Sunday afternoon delivery of the best pebble on the beach.

James; eyeing up apples.

Uphill. Bess gets a lift after being knocked down by a wave and being forced to change into James' spare clothes. A total corduroy no-no.

Swingers.

Catalogue chunk.

En famille in a wooden wagon.

Hostage

James' new favourite game. Backing Bess onto a piece of furniture and marking her so she can't get away.

Up the City

Mike returned from pyjama application, beaming with pride that his daughter was waving her teddy's Norwich City Football Club scarf and cheering them on. Here's what she was saying...

'Come on porridge!'

Bessi di Supa Dupa Gelato

In light of this great double dip,
We've started to sell mint choc chip,
From a cart on four wheels,
Our saleswoman squeals,
'Wan some ice-cweem yeah?'

Extensive range of flavours...

Sold out quiffy.

Norfwalking

Autumnal stroll at Whittlingham Broad.

Bess has finally conceded to wearing her expensive wellington boots.

Serious faces. Something brewing. Next day everyone became unwell with the Buxton lurgy.

And I ruptured a shoulder blade preparing Bess for her Chinese State Circus audition.

Top Gear

Bess has developed a talent for car-ker-plunking.

Happy Birthday Bess

We wanted to make Bess a cat cake. My icing skills left a lot to be desired so it was more of a werewolf cake.

None the less.....

...cake plus candles equals exciting.

And a great cake face.

Special birthday guests: Elliot and Emma, Dee and Marghe. Dee gets excited with Elliot about the cake.

Two years old and anything to do with tea parties, rocks. A tea set and cakes are a huge hit.
Bess: 'Ganny, what want Ganny?'

Bess: 'Jim Jim, what want Jim Jim?'.

Bess: 'Cup of tea Jim Jim?'.

Welcome to Bess's tea room. Her rules...
