Emma Schneish said recently that it's bad form to backdate a blog, which makes sense. However the internet is a lawless place, so I am putting myself in solitary for some blog porridge.
Back in April we packed up and left our London home for a little pocket of Norwich.

Goodbye Stockwell Farm.
(Scaffolding we won't miss).
Hello wildlife.
Bess soon found a worm at the bottom of the garden to 'play' with.
Welcome to Pottergate Towers.
Tired family portrait (just).
Easter Sunday and the blessing of the Easter Garden at the West End of Norwich Cathedral.
Cuter than the Easter Bunny itself - Hollie and James.
Our first overnight visitors were the Schneishes; the delectable Elliot (above left).
A play doh session allowed Tom to explore its full 3-d potential. This is Will.
One day Elliot will be as big as Tom (who is twice the size of this chaise longue and nine times the size of planet earth).
Exploring Norwich parks. This is Eaton park and the beautiful boating pond.
Skippety skippety.
Famille en parc.
Play doh with Grandad.
Males asleep.
Happy boy wide awake.
Lesson no.1 Port and Starboard.
Separated at birth (featuring new beanbag) - Snaggletooth (left) and Bess (right).
Still fascinated by bubbles.
Bess at Norwich Castle. We 'popped in for a pound' with Mags to see the animals - the same ones that I marvelled at, at about the same age as Bess back in the 80's.
Bess: 'Roar yeah whatever'.
Touch the bum-nut.
James meets a relative.
Bess: 'Burrrrdddeeeeee'.
Bess: 'I can wait.....'
(zoom in to read the sign).
Norwich go up to the premier league. This is a small portion of the celebrating masses. Two nice chaps gave Bess their bangers so she could join in.
Bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang...
James in his Sunday best. Thanks Dee and Marghe (second overnight visitors all the way from Brixton).
Comfy.
Next.....Slides of Norwich - a tour de force
The Jenny Lind park. Height: very. Fear factor: 8. Speed: fast.
Wensum park. Height: low. Landing: sand. Ease: peasy.
Slide umpires.
The team weigh up the grown up slide at Wensum park.
Game on.
I am torn between abject fear and realising the need to let her learn through experience. Would just rather it wasn't 20ft in the air.
Bess: 'Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee'.
Wroxham Barns. Popularity: not when we went. Speed: slow due to inappropriate footwear.
Overnight visitors part3. Bien venue Kelly and George! Regard our micro-climate!
The young lovers are reunited. Reunited over a love of art and trains.
Watch where you put that hand young man.
The young curator at work.
.......Good morning Bess.
We find a different sort of installation one morning.
Not quite grasping the biology of a horse.
But working the cowgirl look rather well. Note the t-shirt.
Much like every second child James is getting less of a look in in all this blogging, so here is a snap from today. He's big and smiley. Relatively static although his head does have a wrecking ball tendancy and he will occasionally loll over on his mat as if to start a roll. General demeanor: excellent. Noises: very coooey. Smell: delicious. Eruptions: frequently quite 'poppy' down there. Bye for now.
